Mitchell C. Fogel is the Principal and Founder of The Fogel Law Group in Boca Raton, FL. He has been a licensed attorney in Florida since 1987, and formed his own law firm in 1991. Through his multiple practice areas, Mitch has developed expertise representing buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants, lenders and borrowers, among many varied clients. Because of his extensive and diverse experience, Mitch’s clients seek and rely on his legal counsel regarding their commercial and residential real estate deals; title insurance matters; lending and banking transactions; leasing deals; hotel, resturant and hospitality transactions; and business and corporate opportunities and affairs.
Mitch has developed an excellent reputation nationwide for his knowledge and expertise regarding United States Small Business Administration (SBA) loan transactions. A Certified and Expedited SBA 504 Loan Closing Counsel, he and FLG have closed thousands of SBA 7(a) and 504 loans, USDA loans, as well as many other government guaranteed and conventional loans, in Florida and nationally, for many lenders. He also handles modifications, workouts and liquidations of SBA loans and other financing.
As a small business owner and attorney, Mitch is very committed to the ideas and principles of the SBA and its programs. He is an active member of The National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (NAGGL), The National Association of Development Companies (NADCO), and the Florida Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (FLAGGL). In addition, Mitch co-founded and produced the South Florida Small Business Lending Forum in Boca Raton, Florida, for several years before being a co-founder of FLAGGL.
A graduate of the University of Florida (B.S.B.A. in Finance, 1983, Highest Honors; Gold Key and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Societies) and George Washington University, National Law Center (J.D., 1987; Phi Alpha Delta), he is also an instructor with various colleges and organizations and teaches courses in SBA Lending; Liquidation of SBA Loans; Real Estate Closings; Mortgage and Finance Law; and The Law of Business Organizations. Mitch is frequently a panelist on many real estate, lending (SBA and other financing ), and business transaction forums and webinars, and is a featured speaker on webinars and programs for several firms, including Coleman Publishing , the largest Small Business Lending publishing company.
Having a great passion for soccer as a longtime player and fan, he has been a Coach and Division Representative in the Soccer Association of Boca Raton (SABR) and is presently a Certified Soccer Referee with the Florida State Soccer Association. Mitch is a proud Member of the Board of the Boca Raton Airport Authority, where he has served as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-Chairman and Chairman. In 2025, he had the honor and thrill of being 1 of 8 Dancers in the Boca’s Ballroom Battle, a dance competition that raises funds for the George Snow Scholarship Fund. Mitch resides with his wife and family in Boca Raton, where he enjoys golf, tennis, swimming, bicycling, and supporting the Florida Gators, UVA Cavaliers, Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat, and Inter Miami CF.
